Man Killed in Gateway Drive-By Shoting ID'd as Ruben Gomez
The shooting appears to have been gang-related, police said.

NORWALK, CA - Authorities Wednesday released new details about a man who was killed in a gang-related drive-by shooting in Norwalk, where two others were wounded.
The victim was 20-year-old Ruben Gomez of Norwalk, said Los Angeles County coroner's Lt. Ed Dietz. The shooting was reported at 11:38 p.m. Monday in the 13000 block of Elmcroft Avenue.
Gomez was standing in the street with three men and a woman when a dark SUV drove alongside them and someone inside began shooting, said Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. The vehicle was last seen heading south on Elmcroft.

Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene and two of the men who were with him suffered gunshot wounds to the body and were hospitalized in stable condition, she said.
The shooting appears to have been gang-related, she said. No suspect descriptions were released.
