Man Wounded in Lakewood Shooting

LAKEWOOD, CA -- A man was shot and wounded in Lakewood, authorities said Wednesday.

The gunfire was reported around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Allred Street, said Sgt. Q. Birkbeck of the Sheriff's Lakewood Station.

The wounded man was found at the scene and taken to a hospital where he is in stable condition, she said.

Details about the shooting and the shooter were not immediately available.
