Pedestrian Killed On 91 Freeway

ARTESIA, CA – While walking in the eastbound lanes of the Artesia 91 Freeway in Area, a man was struck and killed by a vehicle, authorities said Saturday. The crash occurred at 11:30 p.m. Friday east of Gridley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man died at the scene, the CHP reported. The driver of the 2003 Dodge, 38-year-old Sarah Beth Melot of Corona, pulled over onto the right shoulder and remained at the scene, according to the CHP.
