Southland Gas Prices Rise For Eighth Straight Day
Prices are rising faster in Orange County than LA.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.9 cents today to $3.262, the eighth consecutive increase following a 41-day streak of decreases.
The average price has risen 13.2 cents over the past eight days, including 1.3 cents on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 12.9 cents more than one week ago but 5.9 cents less than one month ago and $1.039 lower than one year ago.

The Orange County average price also rose for the eighth consecutive day today following a 41-day streak of decreases, rising 2.6 cents to $3.255, 15.7 cents more than one week ago but 3.7 cents less than one month ago and $1.043 lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has increased 16.2 cents over the past eight days, including 1.7 cents on Wednesday.

The increasing prices are caused in part by a 30 percent increase in crude oil prices since February, Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service. U.S. crude suppliers have cut back production in response to increased foreign imports, which are less expensive, she said.
