Suspects At-Large After Deputy-Involved Shooting Near Cerritos
Deputies responding to a report of a gunshot victim at a Norwalk park were involved in a shooting Monday afternoon.

NORWALK, CA -- Deputies responding to a report of a gunshot victim at a Norwalk park were involved in a shooting Monday afternoon, but no deputies were injured and it was not immediately clear if any suspects were struck by gunfire.
The deputies responded about 5 p.m. to Hermosillo Park, in the area of 162nd Street and Clarkdale Avenue, according to Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
As they arrived, three males ran from the park, Saldana said.

One fleeing suspect was armed with a firearm and when he turned toward the deputies, a deputy-involved shooting occurred, Saldana said.
The suspects fled and deputies surrounded the area, but no one was immediately taken into custody, she said.
