Adorable Ducklings Rescued From Chico Storm Drain

These determined first responders helped this feathered family get their ducks in a row.

CHICO, CA — The Chico Police Department helped rescue a family of ducklings trapped in a Chico storm drain last week. Police Chief Michael O'Brien said an officer on patrol saw the mother duck near the drain on East 8th Street and stopped to help the tiny ducklings in distress.

An animal control officer responded and was able to safely scoop all of the babies from the drain and reunite them with their momma, who was anxiously waiting nearby.
