Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) detectives have continued working cooperatively with the Oakland Police Department (OPD) in our ongoing efforts to locate Ms. Dugger. Within the past week, the body of a deceased female was located in Siskiyou County. The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), BCSO and OPD worked together to identify the deceased female using the BCSO ANDE Rapid DNA machine. On the morning of April 2, BCSO identified the deceased female as Ms. Dugger. BCSO, OPD, and SCSO will continue working cooperatively to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Ms. Dugger. We encourage our communities to contact BCSO, OPD, or SCSO if they have additional information about the death of Ms. Dugger. ###February 11, 2021BUTTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEARCH CONTINUES FOR MISSING PERSONOroville, CA – The Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) continues looking for Tatiana Dugger, age 19, of Los Angeles. On January 9, Ms. Dugger’s family contacted the Oakland Police Department and completed a missing person report. On January 13, the Oakland Police Department requested the Butte County Sheriff’s Office assume jurisdiction of the aforementioned missing person investigation, since Ms. Dugger’s family resides in Butte County.On the afternoon of January 13, detectives interviewed Ms. Dugger’s family members. After the interviews, detectives began conducting an investigation. During the investigation, detectives located evidence to include telephone records which indicate Ms. Dugger’s last known location was in Oakland. Detectives determined Ms. Dugger moved from Butte County to Los Angeles approximately three months ago. Butte County Sheriff’s Office detectives continue to work cooperatively with the Oakland Police Department in our ongoing efforts to locate Ms. Dugger. Ms. Dugger is an African American female, 19-years-old, 5’7”, 140 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. Oakland Deputy Chief Drennon Lindsey said, “The Oakland Police Department Missing Persons Unit Investigators will continue to provide support and resources to help the Butte County Sheriff’s Office detectives and the Dugger family in locating Ms. Dugger.” Deputy Chief Lindsey went on to say, “Investigators from OPD’s Missing Persons Unit will meet with the Dugger family this Saturday and assist with passing out flyers of Tatiana Dugger.”Butte County Sheriff’s Office Captain Steve Boyd said, “Our detectives continue working with the Oakland Police Department to locate Tatiana. We will not stop until we have located Tatiana. We encourage our community, other communities and our media partners to help us locate Tatiana.” ###
