• Suspect charged with multiple felonies at large following Fair Oaks pursuit (fox40.com) — Citrus Heights police are helping search for a felon who struck a detective with a vehicle and escaped after a Thursday night pursuit that ended in Fair Oaks. Multiple agencies, including Roseville police, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office and CHP, are still looking for the suspect after he abandoned his car near Hazel and Sunset avenues.
   

• Man killed by officers after Highway 50 pursuit identified as Carmichael resident (sacbee.com) — Citrus Heights police officers were among several agencies involved in a Highway 50 pursuit that ended when officers fatally shot a 61-year-old Carmichael man near Hazel Avenue. Investigations by CHP, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office and the district attorney are underway, and no officers were injured after the man allegedly pointed a weapon at them.
   

• Volunteers scrub, honor sacrifices at Dixon national cemetery (timesheraldonline.com) — A Citrus Heights member of the Daughters of the American Revolution joined dozens of volunteers at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon to scrub headstones in honor of 9/11's 25th anniversary. Local veterans, families and service groups spent the day cleaning markers, reflecting on loved ones buried there, and emphasizing how the attacks still shape veterans' lives today.
