• Citrus Heights Vice Mayor champions Blue Envelope program throughout region (citrusheightssentinel.com) — Citrus Heights leaders have launched the Blue Envelope Program citywide, giving residents with disabilities or special needs a simple way to signal they may require extra support during police or emergency interactions. Vice Mayor Porsche Middleton and Citrus Heights Police helped secure regional adoption, with free, voluntary blue envelopes and accessories now available through participating agencies to improve communication and safety.
   

• Newsom signed a lot of bills into law. Which mean the most to the Sacramento region? (abridged.org) — Citrus Heights will be part of a new regional homelessness and housing agency mandated by a recently signed state law, potentially reshaping how services are coordinated locally. Other new laws highlighted include daycare options in state offices, stricter fireworks rules, fire-resilient home certifications, and limits on new community college bachelor's degrees, while some telework and flood-protection bills were vetoed.
   

• Family and SLTPD ask for public's help in locating missing woman (tahoedailytribune.com) — A woman last seen in Citrus Heights on September 17 has been reported missing, and South Lake Tahoe Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Lisa Harlow, also known as Lisa Knutsen, is described as 5'6", about 195 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and tipsters are urged to call SLTPD or a listed family contact.
