Business News: Dollar General, Old Navy to Celebrate Grand Openings

In this roundup of Citrus Heights business news, we have news of two large retailers opening soon, plus a new coffee shop.

Spirit Halloween: will open Friday, Sept. 7 in Citrus Heights, according to Spirit Halloween Citrus Heights' Facebook page. The shop is located in the Birdcage Shopping Center. 

Dollar General: Dollar General is celebrating its grand opening this Saturday, Sept. 8 of its Citrus Heights store. This is the first location in the Sacramento area and is located in a 12,000-square-foot site at the Grand Oaks Shopping Center at 7963 Auburn Blvd.

The grand opening is set from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For those unfamiliar with Dollar General, it’s a discount store. Earlier this year, they opened their 10,000^th store in Merced.

According to the Sacramento Business Journal, Dollar General has plans to expand in the Sacramento area. The company plans to open about 50 store in California this year.

Old Navy: Old Navy will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 21-23 at its new Citrus Heights location, at 5985 Birdcage Center Lane. The retail shop is located next to The Sports Authority in the Birdcage Shopping Center. According to the City of Citrus Heights, this Old Navy location will feature the company’s new smaller format.

Old Navy was located in a temporary space near Michael’s, but re-located to a smaller space.

Java Cherry: A new coffee shop is being added to . Java Cherry will open at 6720 Van Maren Lane. Stay tuned as we find out more information, including an opening date.
