The California Highway Patrol has located Citrus Heights resident James Mengel, 77, police said. The CHP had issued a Silver Alert for Mengel at about 8 a.m. Christmas morning after a family member reported him missing. He had been last seen Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. CHP located Mengel about 9:30 p.m. Christmas Day in Truckee, California, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department. When CHP officers found Mengel, he was in good health and officers were working to reunite him with his family.--Bay City News
