City Of Citrus Heights: Storm Season Preparations

Citrus Heights residents who have experienced flooding in the past are encouraged to prepare for the expected rainfall this year. 

The City of Citrus Heights provides sandbags for Citrus Heights residents only, proof of residency (picture ID or utility bill) required. 

Sandbag Distribution Location: 

City Hall at 6360 Fountain Square Drive 

M-F, 8-5 during normal business hours. Call 916-725-2448 first, for sandbag pick up instructions. 

Self-Serve Sand Filling Station Locations:

• City Hall – 6360 Fountain Square Drive
• C-Bar-C Park  – 8275 Oak Avenue 
• Bring your own shovel or scoop. Staff will not be available to assist residents filling or loading bags.
• Standard COVID-19 precautions observed: please wear masks and maintain 6 foot social distance at sandbag distribution and sand filling locations.
