The City of Citrus Heights First Time Homebuyer Program is a down payment assistance program.  If you would like to purchase a home in Citrus Heights but need assistance with financing the down payment, you may be able to apply for a low-interest loan for up to $40,000 with a term of 30 years and no monthly payments.

Program Highlights: 

• Low-Interest-The down payment assistance loan has a low simple interest rate.
• Finance part of your down payment-Contact Neighborworks Homeownership Center of Sacramento to find out if you are eligible to receive down payment assistance.
• Learn to be successful homeowners-In addition to securing the purchase of your home, you’ll benefit from a required homebuyer education course which will inform you about the purchase process, as well as tips about financial management and home maintenance.
