No, JetBlue Will Not Pay You $400 A Week To Advertise On Your Car

It's a scam. Sounded good, though.

If you receive an email, as I did, stating that JetBlue Airways is offering a tidy sum of $400 per week to U.S. citizens willing to “shrink-wrap” their vehicles in airlines advertising -- don’t fall for it.

It’s a scam, according to a Jet Blue spokesperson.

“JetBlue Airlines seeks people, regular citizens, professional drivers and more to go about their normal routine, only with a small advert for ‘JetBlue Airlines’ plastered on their vehicle,” the email reads. “The advert are typically vinyl decals, also known as ‘auto wraps’ that almost seem to be painted on the vehicle, and which will cover any and little portion of the vehicle’s exterior surface.”

“You will be compensated with $400 per week which is essentially a rental payment for letting Jet Blue Airlines use the space on your vehicle, no fee is required from you,” the email continues.

Not so, said the Jet Blue spokesperson at the company’s headquarters. No such promotion exists.
