Planning a wedding can be a stressful and expensive project, but it doesn’t have to be! The Sacramento County Department of Regional Parks is here to help with affordable and flexible venue options. Whether you want to get married by the water, in a lush park or in a historic building, Regional Parks has got you covered with options from as far south as the Delta, as far north as Rio Linda and all along the American River Parkway.“We offer a wide variety of venue options at affordable price points, and we allow people to utilize their own caterers and vendors,” said Liz Bellas, Director of Regional Parks. “Some of our more popular locations for wedding rentals are Ancil Hoffman Park, River Bend Park, Sunrise Access, Jean Harvie Community Center and Gibson Ranch Regional Park.”Those interested in getting married along the American River Parkway will be happy to know that they can rent space at any Regional Parks facility along the parkway. The American River Parkway is a great facility for outdoorsy couples and nature lovers.

The Jean Harvie Community Center in Walnut Grove is a great option for history lovers. This facility is an early 1900’s schoolhouse located in the heart of the Delta and offers a variety of opportunities for holding both large and small events.
