Search Continues for Suspects Involved in McDonald’s Shooting

A man was found dead in a car in a McDonald's parking lot in Citrus Heights Jan. 5.

Citrus Heights Police are still searching for two men who allegedly shot and killed a man in a McDonald’s parking lot on Jan. 5.

The incident was reported around 6 p.m. on Jan. 5 at the McDonald’s on Lichen Drive and Antelope Road in Citrus Heights, where 28-year-old Baron Seidel of Citrus Heights was found dead, according to KCRA.

Seidel was sitting in a parked truck outside the fast-food restaurant when two men arrived and shot him, Citrus Heights Patch reported.

Citrus Heights Sgt. Eric Mattke said the two suspects are still at large. Mattke said detectives are actively following up on leads.

The suspects were described as "Hispanic or light-skinned black men" by the Citrus Heights Police Department. The suspects drove away in a dark-colored sedan. Descriptions were provided by a relative who was with the victim at the time of the killing.
