• The Red Cross and Hello Kitty® and Friends join forces to help save lives (redcross.org) — Claremont residents have several chances in early September to donate blood locally at Pomona Valley Health Centers, The Claremont Colleges, Pilgrim Place, Claremont Toyota, and Pomona College. The Red Cross, partnering with Hello Kitty & Friends, is offering special thank-you gifts Sept. 1–20 while stressing that every donation helps protect the region from blood shortages.
