CLAREMONT, CA — Pitzer College in Claremont is recognizing World Mental Health Day on Friday, an annual observance that raises awareness of mental health and encourages greater understanding and support for people experiencing mental health challenges.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on campus at the Pitzer Mounds, and include a carnival, a fable petting zoo, popcorn and cotton candy booths, stigma plate smashing, and more.
World Mental Health Day is observed each year on Oct. 10. The international day serves as a reminder that mental health is an important part of overall health and that communities can play a role in supporting emotional well-being.
