Announcement Of City of La Verne Council Meeting Changes Due To Coronavirus
Please note the scheduled presentations on the 3/16/20 agenda, including Certificates of Recognition and Proclamations, are cancelled.
La Verne, CA (March 2020) – As the City of La Verne continues to be in contact with local public health officials regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, we will keep the public informed of any updates that may affect the City’s public events, programming, and services.
At this time, and in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order issued March 12, 2020, the City is taking steps to cancel or postpone any non-essential events such as community meetings, public gatherings, and special events in an effort to practice social distancing to limit exposure.

Due to the essential nature of City Council meetings in conducting official City business, the upcoming Monday, March 16th City Council meeting will take place as scheduled at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, with the following changes, alternative opportunities to participate, and reminders:

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject “Public Comment - 3/16/20”. Emails received by the end of the business day will be read aloud into the public record during the public comment period. You may verify that your comment was read by watching the City Council meeting through www.cityoflaverne.org/live.

CANCELLED PRESENTATIONS – Please note the scheduled presentations on the 3/16/20 agenda, including Certificates of Recognition and Proclamations, are cancelled.
SOCIAL DISTANCING AT THE MEETING – We strongly encourage the public to watch our City Council meeting remotely, online, to assist in our efforts to practice social distancing. If you feel you must attend the City Council meeting in person, please note that we may ask each attendee to sit at least six feet away from other attendees. In line with public health recommendations, we ask that anyone who is experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, or fever to please stay home, except to get medical care.
