Armed Robbery at Claremont Shell Gas Station

On Sunday, the Shell Gas Station was robbed at just before 8:30 a.m. by an armed suspect, according to police.

CLAREMONT, CA—An armed suspect reportedly brandished his handgun at the counter of a Claremont Shell Gas Station.

At just before 8:30 a.m. an unknown suspect entered the 1000 block W. Foothill Blvd. Shell Gast Station in Claremont, demanding cash from the clerk.

"The clerk complied with the demand, handing the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash," Claremont Police reported. The suspect fled in the direction of northbound Towne Ave. in a silver vehicle.

"The suspect is a white or Hispanic male, 35-40 years-old, between 5'6" and 5'8" tall, weighing around 170-180 pounds," the police reported.

He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, sunglasses, a yellow surgical mask, long sleeve blue shirt and jean shorts.
