Authorities Investigating Vehicle Fire
Fire quickly extinguished by authorities, no word on the cause.
An SUV was destroyed Saturday after it became fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was reported around 8:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of Evergreen Street. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and authorities did not immediately know what sparked the blaze, said Sergeant Monica Schusse of La Verne Police.
According to scanner reports, multiple callers stated that once the SUV became fully engulfed, the flames spread to the garage area which was to the rear of the residence.
The fire only caused minor damage to the structure, Schusse said.
It was not immediately known if the residents were home at the time.
