Bearcats no-hit Mustangs for 12-1 win
Bonita baseball continues to get better as season winds down.
By Elsie Ramos
For the second time in one week there was a no-hitter thrown for Bonita (10-0), as it beat Walnut (3-7) easily 12-1 Friday to remain undefeated in league play.
This time it was team effort between Jon Reid, Sam Stavang and Cameron Morgan. Reid started the game, but could not get out of the first inning after giving up four walks and an unearned run. After two-thirds of an inning, Stavang came on in relief to get Walnut’s Cody Lepp to strike out looking with the bases loaded.
