CA Released New Guidelines Today Allowing For Hair Salons And Barbershops To Operate Outdoors
These guidelines allow the OPTION for services to be done outside and does not require outdoor services.

On July 20, 2020 the California Department of Public Health issued guidelines (https://covid19.ca.gov/industry-guidance/#top) for how barbering and cosmetology services can be offered safely outside. These guidelines allow the OPTION for services to be done outside and does not require outdoor services.

The Department of Consumer Affairs and the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology have also issued information regarding outside services (https://www.barbercosmo.ca.gov/licensees/salon_reopen.shtml). The Board has also provided a checklist for operating outside (https://www.barbercosmo.ca.gov/forms_pubs/outside_checklist.pdf). Please review all of this information prior to starting any outdoor services.
