Ophelia's Jump presents In Some Dark Valley: The Testimony of Reverend Brand

If music is the universal language, there is perhaps no more eloquent master than Mozart in his G Major trio, K. 564. Striking a contrast with Mozart’s smooth lines and pure harmonies, Dvořák’s Trio in F Minor conveys pathos and drama in its folk melodies and rhythms. Marrying these two extremes of light and dark is the late-romantic-meets-impressionist composition Soir - Matin (Night and Day) by French composer Mélanie Bonis.
Redfish Piano Trio takes its name from the Southern Oregon Coast and strives to reflect this beloved and unique environment through music. Its members are violinist Fritz Gearhart, cellist Andrew Smith, and pianist Genevieve Feiwen Lee.

New music champions and Celliola members Cindy Fogg (viola) and Tom Flaherty (cello) are joined by Melissa Givens, soprano; Scott Graff, baritone; Rachel Vetter Huang, violin; Joti Rockwell, mandola/mandocello; and Genevieve Feiwen Lee, piano. The program will include new and favorite works by J.S. Bach, Tom Flaherty, Zoltán Kodály, Ania Vu &amp; Paul Wiancko.
As the duo Celliola, Cindy and Tom have been playing music together for more than 40 years. In that time, they have had more than 30 pieces written for them: duos as Celliola, solos for one or the other, and chamber music for larger forces. Celliola has played at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Orchestra Hall in Detroit, universities, and conservatories across the United States, and in music festivals in Romania and Austria. Celliola’s recordings have been released on Naxos and Bridge Records.
