Chaffey District, University of Redlands Strike Deal to Guarantee Enrollment for Students Meeting Graduation Requirements

The University also will waive the application fee, ensure graduation within 4 years and award scholarships of at least $10,000 per student

The Chaffey Joint Union High School District took another step toward preparing all graduates for college and careers when it signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Redlands that will guarantee admission for all students who meet minimum graduation requirements.

This agreement, signed September 13, will begin with the graduating Class of 2017. The University has also agreed to waive the application fee, provide overnight campus visits for admitted students, ensure graduation within four years, and award scholarships of at least $10,000 for every student. The University of Redlands is a premier liberal arts university and is the highest producer of Fulbright Scholars in the nation.

“On behalf of our students and the communities we serve, we’re honored to enter into this agreement with the University of Redlands,” said Mathew Holton, Chaffey District Superintendent of Schools. “This is part of our commitment to provide lifelong advantages for our students as they enter adulthood and shape their career aspirations.”
