On Monday, September 20, the City’s hired contractor, TRS Construction, will begin construction for the Sixth Street and Harvard Avenue Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Improvements Project. This project will consist of the removal and replacement of the four handicap ramps located at the intersection of Sixth Street and Harvard Avenue. After the ramps are constructed the north-south crosswalk located at the west side of the intersection will be removed and slightly relocated so that it will no longer be positioned in the cross gutter. The City’s arborist will evaluate the condition of the tree roots in the affected area throughout the course of the project. This work is anticipated to be completed by the week of September 27.
