Sanitation customers in single-family homes may have up to three bulky items collected per year as part of their base trash rate. Residents with more than three bulky items may have additional items collected for a fee. Bulky item collection is also available to commercial businesses and multi-family tenants for a fixed fee. The program is intended for large, bulky items that do not fit in your regular refuse container, such as large appliances, furniture, and mattresses. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to recent increases in bed bug infestations, soiled, infested, or contaminated items must be sealed in heavy plastic.
