Claremont PD welcomes two new police officers - William Etue and Darren Torres.

William Etue joined CPD from LA School Police Department. Prior to becoming a Police Officer in 2006, he served in the United States Marine Corps for five years. After leaving the Marine Corps, he was hired by the Los Angeles School Police Department and served with that department for 15 years.While a member of the LA School Police Department, William played a lead role in developing a juvenile diversion program. He is excited to be a part of the Claremont Police Department team and looks forward to continuing to learn and grow within the law enforcement profession.

Darren Torres joined CPD from Riverside County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD). Darren served in the Army for three years before becoming a deputy sheriff with RCSD where he was assigned working custody at Robert Presley Detention Center. Darren is excited to be a member of the Claremont Police Department.
