On Monday, September 27, installation of wet and dry utilities to support the Colby Neighborhood 95-unit townhome development began. The construction requires a full closure of Colby Circle, between Indian Hill Boulevard and the Colby Circle north south bend. The construction is scheduled in phases over the coming months and into the summer of 2022. The first phase of the construction will be the water line improvements. New water lines will be installed in Colby Circle, with accompanying new connections in Indian Hill Boulevard, which will allow for the abandonment of existing lines currently serving existing residents north of the project site.

Beginning October 25, utility crossing work on Indian Hill will occur as the initial step in the infrastructure. Completion of the crossing is anticipated by mid-November. MKP Construction will be working on water main connections on Indian Hill Boulevard in three separate locations: at Colby Circle, 150’ north of Colby Circle, and 200’ south of Colby Circle. Traffic will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction on Indian Hill Boulevard during constriction.
During these construction projects, drivers and pedestrians are directed to follow the appropriate construction signs and remember to share the road with bicyclists. Questions or comments regarding construction activities can be directed to Ryan McDougle – Intracorp Construction Manager – (949) 247-9017 and DeLisa Bryant – City of Claremont Associate Engineer – (909) 399-5480.
