City Of Claremont: El Barrio Park Improvement Project

The City of Claremont is excited to share with you our plans for upcoming improvements to El Barrio Park. The plan includes a new pedestrian walkway, safety lighting, landscaping, and installation of additional picnic tables, benches, and trash receptacles. The project is fully funded through an agreement with Claremont McKenna College. El Barrio Park will be fenced off from Friday, January 14 and anticipated to reopen mid-May. The restrooms and playground area will be left open during construction. We urge residents and park users to use the other Claremont parks while the improvements at El Barrio Park are happening. The closest Basketball Courts are Memorial Park (840 N. Indian Hill Blvd) or Blaisdell Park (440 S. College Ave.).
