City Of Claremont: Griffith Park Improvement Project
The Claremont City Council approved the Griffith Park Improvement Project last March.

On March 23, 2021, the City Council approved the Griffith Park Improvement Project using Proposition 68 Per Capita Funds and Park Dedication Funds. Proposition 68 is part of the State “Park and Water Bond Act of 2018,” which allows for grant programs for drought, water, parks, climate, coastal protection, and outdoor access. The main focus of the project will be a new restroom facility, new landscaping around the restroom, and repairs to the walkway leading to the restroom. Additional improvements include, basketball court resurfacing, new fencing around the playground, new picnic tables, new drinking fountain, and new play fiber in the playground area. Improvements are set to begin in the summer and be completed by the fall.
