On July 15, 2021, the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. (IVHS) reopened its facilities to the public with modified operational procedures. IVHS has continued to closely monitor COVID-19 activity and is taking the necessary steps to comply with LA County and the CDC’s recommended health and safety measures. This includes the implementation of mandatory mask wearing for all employees and visitors regardless of vaccination status, social distancing and sanitation protocols.

The Customer Service Department will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Saturday, with extended hours on Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM to assist with any licensing or animal redemption needs. Licenses can also still be processed online, over the phone by calling 909-623-9777, or by mail to Attn: Customer Service, 500 Humane Way, Pomona, CA 91766.
For those looking for their lost pet, kennels will be open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, with extended hours on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The Adoption Center will be open for in-person adoptions from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, with extended hours on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A limited number of visitors will be escorted through the kennels at one time to view the animals currently in their care.

IVHS is currently under construction to make room for the new Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Medical Center so there is limited onsite parking and intermittent parking lot closures. Street parking is available on Humane Way, so please plan accordingly when traveling to adopt an animal at the shelter.
