December 17, 2020
Residents interested in taking a more active role in the City’s decision-making process are encouraged to apply for appointment to a board or committee. Currently, applications are being sought for appointment to the Committee on Human Relations (CoHR). The CoHR was established to advise the Community and Human Services Commission on human relations and promote an atmosphere of inclusion, respect, and acceptance within the community. Committee members will be called upon to help facilitate learning experiences and conversations that help community members understand the need for justice, adopt attitudes of mutual acceptance, respond to conflict in society, and bring awareness to implicit bias. Mediation and dispute resolution training will be provided.
