Claremont: Bulky Item Collection Services

The bundled trash rate for single-family homes includes collection of up to three bulky items per each calendar year at no additional cost. The program is intended for large, bulky items that do not fit in your regular refuse container, such as large appliances, furniture, and mattresses. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to high demand after the holidays, bulky items are currently being booked 2-3 weeks out. After the three free items have been picked up, additional items can be collected for a fee. Fee-based collection is also available to multi-family and commercial customers. Due to recent increases in bed bug infestations, soiled, infested, or contaminated items must be sealed in heavy plastic.
