Claremont Burglary Suspects Arrested

Three arrested for multiple burglaries around Claremont.

CLAREMONT, CA — Claremont Police arrested three alleged burglars off Auto Center Drive and Indian Hill Blvd. just before Christmas, according to authorities. At approximately 3 a.m. on Dec. 23, Claremont Police Department Officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a closed business on Auto Center Dr. near Indian Hill Blvd. according to a recent release.

"Officers saw a subject crouched down behind the vehicle and as they approached the subject, the vehicle drove away," Claremont Police Sergeant David Hardin said. "A traffic stop was conducted and three suspects were detained."

During a follow up search of the suspect vehicle, officers located cash, two Steel Master cash registers, burglary tools, masks and gloves. After further investigation, the three suspects were arrested for burglary, possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen property.

"The suspects were later interviewed and admitted to another commercial burglary that occurred at Yocrepe (328 S. Indian Hill Blvd.) in Claremont the previous evening," Hardin said. "Evidence and follow-up investigation also linked them to that crime."

The three suspects, Earl Sisson 22-years-old from Lakewood, Alexander Carter 24-years-old from Long Beach, and Jayvonta Lewis 24-years-old from Long Beach were held at the Claremont City Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, and are due to appear in Pomona Court on Wednesday, December 28th.
