March 25, 2021

This week, the City celebrated Arbor Day by planting an evergreen tree at the Claremont Depot. As part of the planting, Mayor Jennifer Stark signed a proclamation declaring March 24, 2021 Arbor Day in the City of Claremont. The small tree planting ceremony took place at the Depot with staff and the City Council due to continued COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings. The City has been recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA for the last 36 years for its commitment to planting and protecting our urban forest.
