Business owners and operators in the area are fighting back. The chamber reported that more than 50 representatives from Claremont businesses attended an April 17  “Take a Bite Out of Crime” event hosted by The Chamber and presented by the Claremont Police Department.

Claremont Police office gave the business owners many tips on how to secure their businesses, chamber officicals said.

“In talking with the business owners after the meeting, many said the information given out had been very helpful and they were prompted to review the security at their own businesses,” Chamber staffers said in a Facebook posting.

The Chamber will be working with The City and CPD to produce ‘Business Watch’ decals for all businesses within the city limits, officials said.
