Claremont Council Member Ed Reece Appointed To Regional Board

The Governing Board of the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments has appointed Claremont Council Member Ed Reece as its 3rd Vice President of the Executive Board. The San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) is a regional government planning agency that consists of 30 incorporated cities, unincorporated communities in Los Angeles County and three San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water Districts.

Council Member Reece is continuing the long history of Claremont Council members actively involved in regional affairs and serving in regional leadership roles. Council Member Reece also serves on the SGVCOG’s Transportation Committee and is the City’s delegate to the Foothill Gold Line Joint Powers Authority. His new role on the SGVCOG will bring Claremont’s voice to the execution of regional programs such as transportation, homelessness, and economic development.

"I am honored and proud to be one of the newest regional leaders for the San Gabriel Valley," Reece said, "I look forward to helping solve the current and future challenges within the region".
