Claremont DUI Checkpoint Over New Year's Weekend
A DUI Checkpoint was announced by the Claremont Police Department for New Year's Eve weekend. Great time to call a ride-service.

CLAREMONT, CA — If you see a checkpoint on Friday, December 29, it's because the Claremont Police Department are making your roads a little bit safer this New Year's Eve weekend.
Claremont Police are conducting a sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location within the City on Friday night.
"The checkpoint will start at 6 p.m. and conclude at 2 a.m.," Claremont Police Sgt. David Hardin said in release. "Drivers will be stopped long enough to ensure they are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Officers will also ensure that drivers are wearing their seat belts and possess valid driver licenses."

Funding for this checkpoint is provided to the Claremont Police Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, reminding everyone to ‘Report Drunk Drivers – Call 9-1- 1’.
