Claremont Freeway Briefly Blocked As 210 Crash Sends One to Hospital

A multi-vehicle crash blocked several lanes of the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Claremont for about an hour Thursday, authorities said.

The crash was reported shortly before 6 a.m. at Towne Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.

One person was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of major injuries, the CHP reported. All lanes except the carpool lane were blocked until about 7 a.m. while crews worked to clear the scene.
