Claremont: Humane Society Conducting Neighborhood Canvassing

Employees from the Inland Valley Humane Society (IVHS) will begin conducting neighborhood canvasses on Tuesday, March 9.

March 04, 2021

Employees from the Inland Valley Humane Society (IVHS) will begin conducting neighborhood canvasses on Tuesday, March 9. The employees will have an identification badge and IVHS paperwork. The canvassers will be ensuring compliance with the City's dog licensing requirements. Licensing your pet is mandatory for all dogs over 4 months. Less than 1% of the animals that are rescued from the streets have some form of I.D. on them. If a dog is licensed when taken to a shelter, Humane Society staff can determine all important contact information for the owner including address, phone number, and whether the dog has a current rabies vaccination. For more information, please visit the IVHS website at www.ivhsspca.org.
