Claremont Lincoln University (CLU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Anita Leffel as Director for Social Impact serving as an administrator with teaching responsibility and providing leadership and oversight of the Master’s in Social Impact program and its faculty.

She comes to Claremont Lincoln from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she was director of entrepreneurship programs, a senior lecturer and faculty advisor, and launched a number of student-focused initiatives including a new technology venture program and a mentor program involving more than 50 professionals from the community. She has taught entrepreneurship to African nationals through the White House’s Mandela Washington Fellowship Institute, conducted entrepreneurship training in Mexico, launched a student entrepreneurship program in South Africa, and worked with USAID to develop entrepreneurship courses in Kenya.

“Anita impressed us with her vision and success at creating programs to help students define and achieve their entrepreneurial goals, whether it be in business or in social impact,” said CLU President Dr. Eileen Aranda. “Her experience on both a domestic and international level pairs nicely with our diverse student population, which is comprised of people from all over the world working for positive social change.”
