Claremont Man Shot to Death in Pomona Bar: Victim Identified
A Claremont resident who was fatally shot at the Backdoor Bar in Pomona was identified Thursday.

CLAREMONT, CA — A man who was fatally shot a Pomona bar was identified Thursday as a 43-year-old Claremont resident.
The shooting, which also left a woman wounded, occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday at the Back Door Bar, 1250 Mission Blvd.
Daniel Garza died at the scene, coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said. The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital and was later released.

As of this report, there was no information on the shooter, and no known suspects according to Pomona Police Department Sergeant Michael Neaderbaomer.
