Claremont: New Music Room For McKinley Children's Center

McKinley Children’s Center is building a high quality, premier music studio room on its campus. This music studio will serve as both a creative space for music production, a place to exercise learning, and a place our youth can express themselves in a meaningful and impactful way.

“In this goal, we are focusing on the power of music and its ability to heal, as well as serve as a significant way our youth can further express themselves creatively,” says Grace Sanchez, senior vice president of Development. “Music is both a healing and creative outlet. A music room for our McKinley youth would allow them to foster passion, creativity, connection and a place to heal through the power of music. Through this new music studio, we know they will find a new, creative side of themselves that is valued and nurtured, and allows them to grow - and you are a key partner in that becoming a reality.”

Since its founding in 1900, McKinley has provided services to children who are survivors of abusive environments, often related to drug and/or alcohol abuse, abandonment, and physical and psychological difficulties.
