“In this goal, we are focusing on the power of music and its ability to heal, as well as serve as a significant way our youth can further express themselves creatively,” says Grace Sanchez, senior vice president of Development. “Music is both a healing and creative outlet. A music room for our McKinley youth would allow them to foster passion, creativity, connection and a place to heal through the power of music. Through this new music studio, we know they will find a new, creative side of themselves that is valued and nurtured, and allows them to grow - and you are a key partner in that becoming a reality.”

About McKinley
Since its founding in 1900, McKinley has provided services to children who are survivors of abusive environments, often related to drug and/or alcohol abuse, abandonment, and physical and psychological difficulties. Many children arrive at McKinley depressed, sad, angry, and dealing with incredible traumas. At McKinley, they have the opportunity to grow and thrive in a nurturing, empowering environment.

McKinley was founded and continues to operate as a true resource to the community. With widespread ties to hundreds of individuals, families, and neighborhood groups, McKinley provides direct services for some of the community’s most vulnerable children and adults.
