Claremont Plastic Recycling
The Sanitation Division is grateful to the community for their continuous efforts to be sustainable and make recycling a way of life.
April 22, 2021
Recycling is an easy way to residents to reduce their environmental footprint. Recycling helps to conserve natural resources such as timber, water, and minerals and saves energy. Due to global changes to recycling markets, some items that were recyclable several years ago are no longer accepted. Due to tightening markets, the Sanitation Division asks that residents only place plastics with resin codes 1 and 2 in the blue recycling bin. Resin codes can be found on plastic products and appear as a small triangle the assigned code/number within.
