Claremont Police To Hold DUI Checkpoint Friday
Police will be on the lookout for any impaired drivers at an undisclosed location in Claremont.

CLAREMONT, CA — The Claremont Police Department plan to hold a DUI checkpoint this Friday in an undisclosed part of town.
The checkpoint will be held from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., the department said in a statement. Officers will be on the lookout for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Police will also be checking if drivers are wearing their seatbelts and have valid driver's licenses.
Not only will someone who is charged with a DUI get their license suspended, but they can also expect to pay an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, police said.

Funding for the checkpoint is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
