Claremont Police Plan DUI Checkpoint For This Weekend

The DUI checkpoint will be held in an undisclosed part of Claremont, police said.

CLAREMONT, CA — The Claremont Police Department will hold a DUI checkpoint Friday evening to catch any drivers who may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The checkpoint will be held in an undisclosed part of town from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., police said. Officers will also be searching for motorists who may not be wearing their seatbelts or are driving on an expired license.

The Claremont Police Department received funding for the checkpoint through a grant provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agency said in a statement.
