Claremont: Portable Play Equipment Safety Reminder
Portable play equipment must be removed from public sidewalks and streets and relocated onto private property when not in use.
March 31, 2021
Portable play equipment must be removed from public sidewalks and streets and relocated onto private property when not in use. Portable play equipment includes basketball hoops, hockey goals, and tetherball poles. Equipment left unattended on the public sidewalk or street can create an obstruction for pedestrians, hinder effective trash pick-up, become a hazard for vehicles, and prevent parking on public streets. Community Improvement staff actively enforces any obstructions in the public right-of-way. If you have any questions, please contact the Community Improvement Division at (909) 399-5467.
