Claremont Postal Center Targeted by Burglars

Chamber officials have issued a business alert warning of another commercial burglary.

Claremont Heights Postal Center has become the latest local business to report a break-in, according to the Claremont Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber officials issued a Business Watch Alert to help businesses protect themselves against burglars.

The Postal Center break-in was reported Friday at 6:26 a.m. Claremont Police officers who responded to the scene found the front door smashed in, according to the business alert. The business is at 2058 N. Mills Ave.

Money was taken from the register, officials said. No suspect information was available.

Several businesses have had had front glass doors smashed, officials said. On April 13, two businesses reported their doors were shattered while one reported a similar crime on April 14.
