Claremont Serial Burglar Nabbed, Was On Release Supervision Cops Say
After a string of high-value burglaries across Claremont this suspected burglar was apprehended by AB109 Team for Post Release Supervision.

CLAREMONT, CA — A man believed to be a serial burglar by officials has been caught, according to Claremont Police, in another case of AB109 Post Release crime.
Earlier in August, a burglary occurred in the 500 block of E. 6th St. Property stolen included a laptop and over $30,000.00 in jewelry according to Claremont Police.
"Physical evidence located at the scene provided the identity of the suspect, 25-year-old Montclair resident John Solorio," Claremont Police Department Lt. Mike Ciszek said. "Solorio had been previously arrested by Chino PD for Grand Theft Auto and was currently on AB109 Post Release Community Supervision."

On August 29th, Claremont Police, with the assistance of the San Gabriel Valley East AB109 Team responded to the suspect’s address and he was located within the home.
A search of the suspect’s bedroom revealed property related to other burglaries in the area. A loaded handgun which had been stolen in a residential burglary in Chino on August 24th and a stolen I-Pad from another residential burglary in Claremont on July 3rd were recovered.

Solorio was booked at the Claremont Police Department Jail and transferred to the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles. He is being held on $50,000 bail and was scheduled to appear at the Pomona Superior Court, Thursday.
